Decode Your Exhaustion

A holistic and nervous system-based assessment & starter plan for high-functioning women facing burnout so you can finally calm the overwhelm, simplify your self-care, and accelerate your recovery from chronic stress & exhaustion.

You may be:

Feeling bone-deep exhaustion that sleep and rest can’t fix.

Overwhelmed with your self-care to-do list of techniques and practices to manage your stress and emotions better.

Sure of what you need to do but can’t bring yourself to actually do it.

It’s not your fault and you’re not broken!

I can help you uncover where your energy is being lost and identify energy leaks in your physical, mental, and emotional body, because…

… low energy isn’t always sign that you need to add more fuel. Sometimes it’s a sign that something unnecessary is consuming what is already there. You don’t need ‘do more’ advice or prescribing another stress management technique, exercise or implementing a better routine.

When the system is in survival mode and overwhelm what you need is slowing down just enough to simply listen to your body, eliminating triggers that are over-stimulating and unnecessarily triggering stress in your nervous system, and learning to tend to your basic needs.

Decode Your Exhaustion is a 1:1 holistic and somatic spacious offering where we get curious about the hidden stressors in your physical, mental, relational and emotional body leading to your energy being lost, no matter what you do. We identify the nervous system survival patterns keeping you stuck in activation, disconnection and depletion using a self-assessment tool.

We will connect during a 1:1 two-hour session to help you gain clarity on why your current self-care and stress management practices might be making things worse for you, and connect to your body through gentle somatic practices and skills you will take with you.

We will create a personalised Starter Plan for you so you can simplify your self-care by addressing where your energy is being lost first - and restore energy with more ease by guiding you back to yourself (as in, your body) so you don’t have to keep pushing yourself into exhaustion.

How can I get more energy? What can I do to feel less exhausted?

That's usually the first question from the women I work with. But before we go there, we need to ask a different question.

Where is your energy leaking? What hidden stressors are present in your body?

We assume life naturally provide energy and vitality to flow - if we just do more of the good things (practices, techniques, routines). So when energy runs low, the (conditioned) thinking is to look for something to add back in. To do more. More supplements. More motivation. A better routine, a healthier diet, a new way to meditate.

Here is the thing: if you keep pouring water into a bucket with holes, it will never be full. It will not replenish you.

No matter how much you add, if the leaks aren't found and addressed first, you won't see the change you need.

So before we ask what you need more of, we need to ask what you need less of.

If you've been doing the more-yoga, more-protein, more-supplements route in an effort to optimise your health, some part of you has likely already noticed it isn't quite adding up. The effort goes in. The results don't fully arrive. And you've probably started to sense that the problem isn't your discipline or lack of willpower.

You are the type of person who deeply cares about her health and you want to have a body that you can rely on -- so you can have the energy and vitality to do the things that bring you joy and that matter to you.

The problem is that you are doing them in the wrong order. When the nervous system is in survival mode, you’re not in your body and when doing self-care in a disembodied state, your nervous system keeps sounding the alarm.

Disembodied state can feel like over-thinking, ruminating, over-functioning, over-giving. It leads to chronic stress which shuts down digestion, weakens immune system and wrecks havoc with your hormonal system. Because the nervous system wires through the vital functions and regulates your emotional wellbeing, your mental capacity, physical health and how you relate to yourself, others and the world around you.

If the nervous system system is in survival and depletion, adding more good things to it doesn't automatically mean more energy and better health. Some of it just leaks straight back out, the way it would from a bucket with holes.

Which means the question was never really ‘what should I add’. It was ‘what's stopping the energy I already have from staying’.

Women are the society’s stress absorbers.

Energy leaks aren't usually one big obvious thing. They're a pattern - often invisible because it's become so familiar it feels like just who you are.

It might be poor sleep. Overwork. Hyper-resilience. Very often it's unresolved or blocked emotion, and unprocessed stress held in the body from years (or a lifetime) of losing yourself in over-functioning.

Unmet needs are one of the biggest sources of energy leaks we carry, and when they go unmet for long enough, that neglect becomes chronic stress.

Sometimes the leak is in your environment - at work, in a relationship - where you're habitually giving more than you have, or performing capacity that isn't there any more.

And sometimes the leak is in the things you’re meant to enjoy - the sugar, the caffeine, exercising. Reaching for stimulation to get through the day, without noticing that it's one more thing asking your system to keep up rather than letting it rest.

Why this shows up now, in midlife

Over-functioning with too little support is one of the most common survival patterns I see in women in midlife facing burnout and pushing through overwhelm.

It's not a personality trait. It's not a personal failing. It's a survival pattern — and in midlife, the body starts to say no to the over-functioning and over-giving that got you this far. What used to work stops working, because hormones no longer buffer the chronic stress in the body.

You've learned to override your body's signals to keep the peace, to belong, to survive. But your body doesn't stay quiet forever. Your symptoms aren't random; they're your body’s unexpressed boundaries and your soul's refusal to give up on you, even when you've given up on yourself.

If this is you, you are not alone.

I see you. I have been there…

You’re not broken. This isn’t happening to you because you are being useless; it’s just too much. You don’t need more performance. You need space. Less doing. More being. Not another push. Not more effort. A place to put it all down, slowly and safely. Being held with real kindness.

The Four Phases of My Healing Approach

My approach to healing moves through four phases, in sequence — Stabilise, Release, Reclaim, Rebuild — and the order matters as much as the parts themselves.

You are here: Phase 1, Stabilise. This is where we identify your energy leaks and eliminate the unnecessary stress triggers keeping your system in sympathetic overdrive and depletion. We look closely at stimulants in your diet and lifestyle, and at the coping mechanisms keeping you trapped in the cycle of stress, overwhelm and exhaustion. This is what begins to tone down the stress response, create space, and cultivate capacity - so you can feel calmer, regain natural energy, and tune back into true health and self-care.

Everything that comes after this start here. Phase 2 is where we release stored stress and tension held in the body. Phase 3 is where you reclaim your agency, your boundaries, your voice, and the full range of what you feel. Phase 4 is where you rebuild a life and health that's actually meaningful to you - not another optimisation project, not more performing.

But none of that is possible while the system is still leaking energy. This is where we start.

Decode Your Exhaustion:

What’s included

STEP 1:

COMPASSION & CURIOSITY

Self-Assessment

Before we meet, I’ll send you a self-assessment that helps identify your dominant nervous system state and survival mode, and the hidden stressors and energy leaks in the body:

Energy leaks aren't usually one big obvious thing. They're a pattern — often invisible because it's become so familiar it feels like just who you are.

It might be poor sleep. Overwork. Hyper-resilience. Very often it's unresolved or blocked emotion, and unprocessed stress held in the body.

Unmet needs are one of the biggest sources of exhaustion and anxiety we carry, and when they go unmet for long enough, that neglect becomes its own kind of stress.

Sometimes the leak is in your environment - at work, in a relationship - where you're habitually giving more than you have, or performing a capacity that isn't there any more.

And sometimes the leak is in the things you’re meant to enjoy - the sugar, the caffeine, exercising. Reaching for stimulation to get through the day, without noticing that it's one more thing asking your system to keep up rather than letting it rest.

Your energy leaks because your emotional and physical body has lost its integrity and resilience, and your vital energy has been escaping - sometimes for years or even decades - without you ever being taught to pause, notice and respond to it in the present moment.

Take the assessment at your own pace, across more than one sitting if that suits you better, with the intention of curiosity and self-compassion.

STEP 3:

CLARITY & CONFIDENCE

Two-week Integration Check-in

You won’t be left to your own devices after this. We will be connected via email and I'll check in with you within two weeks to see how you're doing, what you're noticing, and what's arising and shifting.

Throughout, the skill you're building isn't about becoming productive in self-care or better in implementing external solutions. This keeps your nervous system in the high-achieving state which is where the problem lies in the first place. You’ll be practice shifting from ‘doing’ to ‘noticing’ and being more present with yourself, your body and your environment so that a shift can occur at the deeper level and you can become more grounded, centred and regulated as a result.

It's learning to slow down enough to notice what’s in the present moment. To begin to relate to your body and yourself in new ways. To meet yourself where you are. To notice. And then to tend to what your basic needs on a more consistent basis - rather than pushing past it and doing what you think you ‘should be’ doing, punishing yourself into activity you’re not really present for.

STEP 2:

CALM & CONNECTION

Two-hour Spacious Session & Your ‘Do Less’ Starter Plan

We'll spend the first half of the session in somatic practice together, to connect to the body. In the second half of the session we will be building your personalised ‘do less’ Starter Plan - grounded in what your own assessment has shown us, not a generic protocol. Focusing on stopping the leaks by eliminating unnecessary over-stimulation in the system.

We will be guided by the hidden stressors in the mind-body-environment which are over-stimulating your system - we devise a simple and effective adjustments and/or elimination plan that you implement over two weeks and beyond - using tools of intention setting, pausing and noticing the effects and what arising in the present moment.

This helps you calm the ‘false’ alarm and stabilise the nervous system, and give you confidence in your own body’s ability to repair and regenerate.

Before we can nourish and build, we need to find what's depleting you and connect to your symptoms and experience. Once the leaks are addressed, your body no longer has to fight just to keep up.

Hi, I’m Katarina

The exhaustion you can't sleep off isn't a sign you need more energy – it's a sign your energy is leaking in ways that are invisible to you.

We're taught that if we do enough of the right things – the routines, the supplements, the exercise, the mindset work – energy and vitality will simply follow. So when energy runs low, the instinct is to add something in. But energy doesn't just disappear. More often, it's leaking out somewhere – through unresolved stress, unmet needs, or a nervous system still bracing for a threat that's long since passed. Add in as much as you like; if the leaks aren't found first, none of it will stay.

I found this out the hard way, in my own body, long before I had language for any of it. In my late 30s and early 40s, despite doing everything ‘right’ – eating well, exercising, practising yoga, taking supplements, trying affirmations and mindset work, seeing a naturopath, acupuncturist and osteopath regularly – I was dealing with low energy, hormonal issues, digestive discomfort, an IBS diagnosis, recurring infections (some of them frightening), creeping anxiety and debilitating self-doubt.

Until I reached peri-menopause, I was able to push through these and largely ‘ignore’ the silent messages my body was giving me. Because hormones were buffering this in my body. When midlife arrived, things changed and I couldn’t push in the same way any more.

I told myself I needed a better routine, one more solution. Underneath, I felt lost and stuck more and more.

I'd equated being healthy with how well I performed various wellness practices. It took me a long time to understand I was trapped in chasing symptoms with external fixes, and that what I actually needed was to look at my health, my emotional state and my chronic issues far more holistically and look deeper.

So, facing silent burnout, I stopped bringing in new things to do. I started learning about my nervous system instead, and how chronic stress was actually showing up in my body.

That shift took me somewhere no single fix, hack or technique ever could have - a connection back to myself and my body. Something profound was happening when I was working with my nervous system, developing sensory skills and tools. I trained with embodiment coaches and somatic practitioners, then undertook the training myself – studying integrative nutrition health coaching, embodiment and nervous system regulation, and Focalizing, a somatic modality for trauma work.

Once my nervous system felt safe again, the energy stopped leaking out of my system. The other systems regulated themselves in turn. My issues resolved – not through one more thing added on top, but through finding and closing the leaks underneath.

That's the foundation of Stabilise, the first phase of my work with clients, and it's exactly where Decode Your Exhaustion begins. Before we talk about what you need more of, we look at where your energy is actually going – the hidden stressors in your body, your patterns, your environment – and we start closing the leaks, together.

You don't need another routine or another thing to optimise. You need space to notice what's actually true for your body, and support finding where your energy is leaking, so what you already have can finally stay.
