Why begin your health journey with the Nourish Phase to stabilise first?

Much of what we call stress is actually dysregulation in the nervous system. The thing is that when a nervous system has lost access to it’s innate felt sense of safety and connection - the brain triggers alarm and keeps the nervous system alerting you to the fact that something is a threat (perceived or real), until you notice and pay attention.

Disconnection from the body leads to self-loss anxiety, poor digestion, autoimmune conditions, inability to sense what you need, nutritional depletion, seeking over-stimulation through sugar, caffeine, alcohol, over-exercising…

We need to turn off the alarm first and start to bring in the felt sense of safety through somatic tools and practices that help to being you home to yourself (as in, your body).

And so after years of working with clients and doing this work myself, I take clients through four phases, in the order your nervous system actually needs to safely move you from survival mode toward becoming more present, grounded and centred.

In this first phase, we focus on eliminating the unnecessary physiological stress triggers that keep your system in sympathetic overdrive and depletion looking at stimulants in your diet and lifestyle in particular. This helps us to tone down the stress response, create space, and capacity so you can feel more energised and reconnect with your body.

Release stored stress — Embodied support for your nervous system through resources to restore your felt sense of safety, and release stress and stored tension and trauma that's been held in the body for months, years, decades…

Reclaim your agency — Return to your personal power, embodied boundaries and self-expression, coming home to yourself and your agency and choice; reconnect with your healthy aggression and voice and build capacity for the full range of emotional experience such as grief and anger as well as joy, desire and connection

Rebuild your ecosystem — Flourish in a life and health that's meaningful to you, not another optimisation project or performing capacity

How the assessment & the plan work:

Step 1: Self-paced Assessment - learning about your body.

Before we meet, I’ll send you a assessment style worksheet so you can answer questions around stress, capacity, lifestyle and diet, and self-care efforts that will help us identify your dominant nervous system state, where you are on the spectrum of nervous system resiliency, your inherent survival and coping patterns, and the level of adrenal fatigue and depletion. Take it at your own pace, across more than one sitting if that suits you better.

Step 2: Two-hour Spacious Session with me - increasing your mind-body connection.

We meet online in a unhurried space where we slow down a little to get curious about what’s present. Slowing down is a pre-requisite to healing and change at the embodied level.

We will explore and set an intention behind your health goals through gentle somatic connection to why we are here, why the change you desire is important for you. Because meaningful intention facilitates lasting change.

I'll show you where you've unintentionally fallen into surface-level fixes that treat symptoms one at a time, leaving the root cause untouched and keeping your system trapped in over-functioning and survival mode. Together, we look at your results with curiosity and compassion, not diagnosis, and understand the root level: your nervous system state that will guide the next step - your personalised Nourish Starter Plan.

Step 3: Your Nourish Starter Plan - Embodied practice to bring stability and energy back.

I will follow up within 48 hours with your personalised starter plan that will incorporate the following based on your unique assessment, needs and goals:

Reducing overstimulation with simple adjustments: eliminating what's over-stimulating your nervous system in diet and lifestyle, to bring blood sugar into balance and lower the fight or flight triggers in the physiology. Replacing over-stimulation with options that give you real choices and keep your system calmer and working more effectively.

Simple, effective somatic practices that promote connection, relaxation and self-compassion in your nervous system: foundational practice to track your sensations and state, building interoceptive sense that calms the nervous system, and interrupts the habituated (trapped) stress cycle, so you can shift safely from being in the head to noticing the felt sensation in the body. This isn't about processing emotions and feelings — it's about learning sensory literacy that’s often left out in mainstream nervous system regulation work.

Noticing yes’s and no’s: to help you gather information about over-giving or hyper-independence — starting to notice fawning survival patterns of appeasing and people-pleasing at the cost of your own energy and health or hyper-resilience and hyper-independence where you don’t ask for support at the cost of your own health. We’re not doing anything to change it in this phase - just noticing the body when you notice that you over-give habitually while abandoning your own needs and desires.
